Pool or Pond?

Hard to tell if we have a pool or pond. We haven’t done much to the pool since we bought the house. We cleaned it out once and discovered that it had a crack that needed to be repaired. We weren’t ready to do any work on it at that point since we were back and forth between Texas and Arkansas, and we had a perfectly good pool in Texas. Now we start again. The house in Texas sold in the fall and this is our first summer without a pool since 1997. My husband spoke to our pool company in Texas before we sold the house and they suggested a course of action. Right now we are draining it using a submersible pump. After that we will have to get all the leaves and debris out and pressure wash it. Then, my husband will try to repair the crack using hydraulic cement. We hope that once we fill it we will be able to get the existing pool equipment to work. We hope. We have never had water up high enough to test it out.

I don’t know if we’ll get to use it this summer, or ever for that matter. I’ll update the progress as it happens. Keep your fingers crossed!
